Similar in appearance to the Bengal Ornamental, but paler in color and with narrower white bands on its legs, this "Pokie" was named for famed Danish tarantula breeder Henrik Wessel Frank who was an early pioneer of Poecilotheria breeding. It is from northeastern India and, like many "tiger spiders" or ornamental tarantulas, it inhabits subtropical forests that are heavily influenced by two monsoon periods throughout the year. A tall natural vivarium with wood and cork tubes and plant cover makes an excellent enclosure.
